Chaired by successful rising leaders and Power members, this platform encourages peers, ages 40 and under, to share their hopes, fears and goals. We all have a duty to make our workplaces more inclusive, and one of the most powerful ways to do so is through advocacy. We believe that this is not only our responsibility but also an opportunity to grow as a person and as a leader. That’s why, in 2019 we launched our inaugural Advocate event, which honors business leaders who have made it a priority to support the growth and mentorship of women at every stage of their career. By honoring them and telling their stories, we hope to inspire others to take notice of their leadership and the lasting positive impact gender diversity has in their organizations. A big part of our work in this area is engaging men to leverage their influence to advocate for gender equity in the workplace, in addition to recognizing and honoring all leaders who understand the value of listening and learning to advocate for women more effectively in business. About the eventEvery year we host an Advocate event that alternates between an Award Ceremony that honors the men and women who serve as advocates in their organizations and a Celebration of Advocacy that provides a forum for networking, discussion and meaningful connections. The meaning behind the triangleWhen we created the Advocate Award, we wanted to provide an opportunity for all generations of women to be inspired, to be empowered and to be encouraged to find and to become advocates.
