Emerging Leaders

Take your leadership skills to the next level!

Chaired by successful rising leaders and Power members, this platform encourages peers, ages 40 and under, to share their hopes, fears and goals. They help define the Power programs designed to bridge the generational gaps through collaboration and prepare them for their next level of leadership.

Our signature workshops empower members to navigate today’s ever-changing workplace. Topics such as executive presence, generational differences, strategic networking, and understanding your value will be explored through powerful conversations that strengthen your ability to lead and manage.

Empower-U Mentoring Circles

POWER’s Empower-U Mentoring Circle Program is a unique member-only benefit to develop future leaders in a safe and confidential setting.

This intimate format allows for the free exchange of ideas and lessons learned from executives who have been there, done that.’ It’s an opportunity to gain valuable first-hand advice from today’s leaders and discussions around topics that will accelerate women’s full potential in the workplace.

The POWER-Ful Career Transition Group

Our purpose is to help POWER members navigate job loss challenges and transition into exciting new careers. We harness our network of professional women to ensure your success.

You can expect monthly virtual meet-ups, actionable insights, tools, best practices, network-building opportunities, and a safe space to grow. 

The group is intentionally intimate and exclusive:

Must be a current POWER Member 

 Must be in a transition due to layoff or other unemployment

Recognizing Advocacy

We all have a duty to make our workplaces more inclusive, and one of the most powerful ways to do so is through advocacy. We believe that this is not only our responsibility but also an opportunity to grow as a person and as a leader. That’s why, in 2019 we launched our inaugural Advocate event, which honors business leaders who have made it a priority to support the growth and mentorship of women at every stage of their career.

By honoring them and telling their stories, we hope to inspire others to take notice of their leadership and the lasting positive impact gender diversity has in their organizations. A big part of our work in this area is engaging men to leverage their influence to advocate for gender equity in the workplace, in addition to recognizing and honoring all leaders who understand the value of listening and learning to advocate for women more effectively in business.

About the event

Every year we host an Advocate event that alternates between an Award Ceremony that honors the men and women who serve as advocates in their organizations and a Celebration of Advocacy that provides a forum for networking, discussion and meaningful connections.

The meaning behind the triangle

When we created the Advocate Award, we wanted to provide an opportunity for all generations of women to be inspired, to be empowered and to be encouraged to find and to become advocates.

When designing the symbol to represent this special program, we chose the triangle as the focus because:

  • The triangle is the strongest shape
  • Any added force is evenly spread through all three sides.
  • The overlapping triangles show that you need to share at least part of a side or angle in order to support each other.
  • These sides represent women in business supported by men in business which contributes to the growth of the business.
  • The triangles are pointing upward to illustrate positive direction and stability of all of the sides working together to support each other.
  • While connecting the triangles symbolizes the harmony that is achieved when all sides are united.
