Celebrate POWER’s 2025 Advocate Awards 

The POWER of Professional Women is a local organization dedicated to advancing women in the workplace and empowering everybody to be their best self at every phase of their career.

Our POWERful Advocate Awards ceremony celebrates those who advocate for women and create a positive impact on organizations, customers and society. The event attracts over 200 leaders from different industries in the Philadelphia area to support this important cause.

When women have an advocate who sponsors them and their career, more opportunities open for them and endless possibilities begin to emerge. That’s the POWER of advocacy. And that’s why POWER developed this flagship awards program. We invite you to join the celebration Thursday morning, May 1st. 

WINNERS
The Advocate Awards will honor five distinguished leaders who have made exceptional contributions to women’s advocacy. This year POWER included an exciting new category, the Entrepreneur Advocate Award, celebrating the startup community’s unique resourcefulness, resilience and dedication to positively impacting others and promoting women.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER
The guest speaker is Philadelphia’s very own David L. Cohen. He was the 2019 winner of POWER’s first ever Advocate Award, and most recently the U.S. Ambassador to Canada. David previously served as Executive Vice President at Comcast and as counsel to the CEO. He has been named amongst the most influential figures in Pennsylvania and is a powerful advocate for women and advancing women in their careers. 

FIRESIDE CHAT 
The news just keeps getting better for this year’s POWER Advocate Awards event! We are excited to report that Susan Phillips, award winning WHYY senior reporter and editor, will join David L. Cohen for a fireside chat at the main event on May 1.

In yet another exciting new addition this year, the awards show will feature a special host and emcee, Devan Kaney. Devan is Sideline Reporter for the Philadelphia Eagles, In Arena Host for the Philadelphia Flyers, On Air Personality at SportsRadio 94WIP and Sports Anchor for Fox 29 Philadelphia.
