Resilience: Key to Leadership Success

October 22, 2020 @ 11:45 am - 2:00 pm

“Resilience isn’t a single skill. It’s a variety of skills and coping mechanisms. To bounce back from bumps in the road as well as failures, you should focus on emphasizing the positive.”

(Jean Chatzky)

This seminar will reveal strategies that help individuals recover from hardships and difficult challenges, and will teach participants how to build and exercise their resiliency during the everyday stresses and disappointments of work and in life.

Participants will use a self-assessment instrument to determine their current levels of resiliency. The instrument will be reviewed by the participants, and pinpoint strengths and potential vulnerabilities and help to chart new strategies for enhancing personal well-being and overall performance. Additionally, this session aims to describe approaches to creating team resiliency. At the conclusion, participants will develop an action plan to build an internal reservoir of resiliency.

At the conclusion of this session, participants should be able to:

  • Identify their own state of resiliency, current areas of strength and areas to strengthen
  • Understand the relationship between resiliency and performance
  • Develop an action plan to exercise their own resiliency muscles
  • Apply resiliency principles in leading work groups and teams
